You Could Lose

You have a 2500 to 1 chance of losing. In other words you are almost guaranteed to lose! Sentences in tax cases are determined by a point scale. The more you owe, the greater your points, and the longer you get to live in a Federal hospitality suite. If you decide to fight the government you will face multiple charges (willful failure to file, income tax evasion, filing false documents, etc.). Often a jury will acquit you of several charges, and only leave you with one, but it only takes one guilty charge to get you locked up.

Some recent losers:

Medical doctor in Texas Tom Clayton hired Larry Becraft as his attorney. He didn't plan to lose in court, but he is locked up now, and will be for the next few years. His house and assets were seized by the IRS as soon as he lost the criminal case. His wife and kids were left destitute.

Eddie Kahn had a pretty good life until he started fighting the Feds. He even relocated to Central America, but it wasn't enough to keep him free. Irwin Schiff could have retired peacefully, but now he resides in a federal facility. Dr. Robert Clarkson could have amassed a good retirement and be living a relaxed life. But instead he is still fighting with the FBI and IRS, having been locked up twice. This list could go on. Almost everyone has a friend or relative who has messed with the IRS and lost. Larken Rose, Bill Benson, Judge John Rizzo, Wesley Snipes, and me, (Dr. Greg Williams). This is a tiny sampling of an enormous list of individuals who have found out about losing the hard way.
